Rupak Bhattacharjee...
is one of the most established and popular names in the field of classical percussion music at present. Blessed to be born in a family of music lovers and practitioners, Rupak was introduced to the world of music through tabla, at the age of four, by his first guru, his father Sri Arun Bhattacharjee. He then took his further training from Sri Mrinal Kanti Bakshi in Farukabad Style. Later, he got the blessed opportunity to hone his talent under able guidance of the living legend of tabla, Pt Anindo Chatterjee.

Yonug artiste Rupak Battacharya began the show with his viblant tabla recital. Rupak was very swift in his recital. His fingers moved with an aptalacrity required to play the 'Taals' he presented. He was provided an equally nice 'Lehara' on harmonium by Rajendra Prasad Banerjee. Rupak, besides playing the different variations of 'Teentaal' opted few of lesser popular 'Taals' via-a-vis 'Pancham Sawari' and like.
